Hi Reader, If you've heard about the PHP security issue on the radio today, your website is safe. There's nothing you need to do. PHP is the programming language WordPress is built on, so it sits underneath every WordPress site, including yours. This week the team that maintains PHP released fixes for two serious vulnerabilities, both rated critical. That's why it made the news. Your Clever Care plan is why this was a non-event for you. I keep every site on a current, supported version of PHP as part of routine maintenance. So when the fix came out, your site was ready for it. Our host applied the patch across the platform, and I checked every site within minutes. Websites that have fallen behind are having a harder week. Older versions of PHP may not get this fix at all, so those owners have to upgrade their software first and hope nothing breaks along the way. Yours skipped that step entirely. Stories like this tend to bring out scammers. If someone emails or calls to say your website was hacked and asks for a login or a payment, it isn't from me. Forward it to me before you do anything with it. If you have questions, reply to this email. Cheers, Nic |

Hey Reader, Quick note before the holiday rush swallows us all: thank you for an excellent 2025. Your projects, your trust, and your partnership have made this year meaningful, and I'm grateful. It's been a tough week for my local community here in Sydney, which makes me even more appreciative of connection and the chance to rest and reset. Time to switch off and enjoy some well-earned rest—hope you do the same! As we approach the end of the year, it’s a great time to reflect on how business...
Hello, hello! How are you, Reader? It's been a while, but I'm excited to be typing. I know not everyone loves to write, but I honestly find the process therapeutic and a little bit exciting. Watching a bit of research turn into an idea, turn into an opinion, and then develop into a strategy delivers a flutter of endorphins with the accomplishment. Some folks get this from talking. I get this from writing. This week, I've been writing about a Japanese concept called 'ikigai', meaning 'a reason...
